Bae Doona Becomes the First Korean Woman to Appear in the Cover of U.S. Vogue

Bae Doona, a South Korean actress and photographer, has officially become the first Korean ever to appear on the cover of U.S. Vogue.

Actress Bae Doona, has officially become the first Korean to ever to appear on the cover of U.S. Vogue.
The 39-year-old actress, who starred in several hit Netflix series including “Sense 8” and “Kingdom,” will appear on the front cover of Vogue for the magazine’s April edition with the theme of “A celebration of global talent.”
The April edition features 14 women and is titled “14 countries, 14 superstars: The global actors who know no limits,” according to Naver as translated by Soompi.
Doona will appear alongside actress Scarlett Johansson and Indian film actress Deepika Padukone.
Bae Doona’s appearance on the cover of the magazine marks a milestone as she becomes the first Korean to reach such an achievement since the publication’s inception about 127 years ago.
