A Chinese policeman was caught on film stuck on top of a moving vehicle during what appears to be a long chase between police officers and a runaway car.
The video taken from Chinese social media was shot in Lingzhi, Anhui Province, on July 26.
The unnamed officer reportedly jumped on top of the car in an attempt to stop it from going, but the unlicensed vehicle continued to drive as he hung on for dear life, according to South China Morning Post.
The officers and the driver of the car traveled for more than 12 kilometers (7.4 miles). The officer tailing the car tried to stop the driver by driving alongside it, but to no avail.
The slow chase eventually came to a halt when the driver finally gave up and stepped out of his car. An investigation into the incident is still ongoing.

If this happened on campus, Stanford should issue a clear public update and specific safety actions.

Agree. People need facts and process, not silence. The school should confirm what is being investigated.

Also important to separate verified details from rumors so this does not spiral online.

The death threat part is extremely serious. Hoping law enforcement and campus security are already involved.

This is where official reporting and support channels need to be visible and easy to access.

Can NextShark keep a timeline thread here as updates come in? That would help keep context in one place.
