The Bachelor has officially come to Vietnam and is now accepting applications for its single eligible bachelor and his romantic interests.
Vietnam’s version of the popular relationship reality television series will be among the three new “Bachelors” launching in Asia this year, alongside The Bachelor Indonesia and The Bachelor India.
Licensed by Warner Bros., the Bachelor Vietnam will be jointly produced by four companies: Happy Canvas Film, Multimedia JSC, Big Cat Entertainment and Fusion3Media, reports The Gioi Dien Anh.
The upcoming show began accepting applicants on March 9, with registration rules posted at its official website and Facebook page. Aside from online applications, auditions will also be held in early April in two major cities, Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City in an effort to find the best candidates for the program.
The show is looking for the first Vietnamese Bachelor who is a good-looking, successful man between the ages of 27-45, who has a strong personality and respect for women.
Female candidates must be 19 years old and above, confident about their looks, have a pleasing personality, seeking true love and have a strong desire to “conquer” the single guy.
Much like the original American version, The Bachelor Vietnam will feature the pursuit of the romance of a single guy and 25 girls in a bid to find a perfect match.
In 14 episodes to be broadcast weekly on local channel HTV7, the titular bachelor will be choosing among the 25 girls while going through dates and challenges. The traditional “roses ceremony” where the single guy hands out flowers for the girls he wants to keep in the show, will also take place every episode.
