KQ Entertainment’s K-pop boy group Ateez reached No. 3 on the Billboard 200 chart Sunday with their new album “
The album is led by the title track “Guerrilla” and is the group’s first top 10 placement and their highest entry on Billboard’s 200 chart. This also makes them the fifth K-pop group to achieve a top three position on the weekly albums chart, following BTS, SuperM, NCT 127 and Stray Kids
Billboard calculated the band garnered 50,000 equivalent album units since the album’s drop on July 29. This number includes 47,000 units in album sales with the rest being from album streams.
“The World Ep 1: Movement” is the genesis of Ateez’s “The World” album series and continues the trend of the group’s album series following “Treasure” and “Zero.” Their last comeback prior to the recent album was “Zero: Fever Epilogue” in December.
Ateez’s eight members will embark on their “The Fellowship: Break The Wall” world tour starting in Seoul in October before heading to seven stops in North America in November.
They are one of the headlining acts for KCON LA 2022 this month, alongside other notable groups such as Enhypen, Itzy, Kep1er, Lightsum, Loona, Nmixx, P1Harmony, StayC, Stray Kids, TO1 and “Queendom” Season 2 winner WJSN
