An Asian American realtor has been fired after he was filmed racially harassing a Black YouTuber in Scottsdale, Arizona, telling him they are in a “no n****r zone.”
What happened: YouTuber DreTV was filming a video in Scottsdale when he was suddenly approached by Paul Ng, who worked for Russ Lyon Sotheby’s International Realty.
- Ng approached the YouTuber to ask him why they were taking videos of his home and told the men they have had “problems” in the area.
- Ng said, “I’m a racist,” after the YouTuber asked him, “Do you know a lot of White men are doing racist things in the world, sir?”
- When asked by the YouTuber why Ng was there, the latter said, “This is a no n****r zone.”
- DreTV did not budge and stayed in the area to continue filming his content.
- Then, he asked Ng to step back from him, thinking that the man might harm him.
- The two men continued their verbal exchange from a distance before DreTV starts to move in to get a shot of the building where he and his friend were filming outside.
The aftermath: The video, which was viewed more than 1,000 times on DreTV’s channel, made its way to other social media platforms after users shared his encounter with Ng.
- Viewers of the video later reached out to Russ Lyon Sotheby’s International Realty to report Ng’s behavior.
- After receiving complaints, the company quickly terminated the man and issued a statement on its Instagram account.
- “An independent contractor was filmed recently making racist comments, Russ Lyon Sotheby’s International Realty does not condone in any way, shape or form this type of behavior,” the company’s statement reads. “This person has been terminated effective immediately.”
