Authorities in California arrested three Asian men connected to a deadly shooting at an upscale apartment complex at the night of September 28.
The three Southern California men: An Yan, 28, of Baldwin Park, Lin Tao, 27, of Monterey Park, and Panpan Huang, 36, of Chino, were arrested by Los Angeles Sheriff’s Department on Wednesday, The Mercury News reported.
Officers responded to the call they received about a shooting at a home in the 300 block of Elan Village Lane at the night of the crime. Authorities discovered the victim, 31-year-old Xingjian Li, had at least one gunshot wound from the encounter. He died soon after he was brought to the hospital.
The three suspects are now currently held at Los Angeles County Jail for sexual assault, robbery, kidnapping, conspiracy, murder and assault with a deadly weapon.
San Jose Police, with the help of Milpitas Police Department, South San Francisco Police Department and Fremont Police Department, discovered that the murder was part of the crime spree in the Bay Area around the time of the homicide, Kron 4 reported.
On September 27, Milpitas Police responded to the call of a woman who was reportedly robbed and sexually assaulted in the 500 block of Murphy Ranch Road at 10:26 in the morning.
Then on September 28, three women were robbed at gunpoint in Fremont during a home invasion at 3 p.m. One of the victims told the police that she was sexually assaulted by the suspects.
San Francisco Police Department received a call later on that same day about a robbery and sexual assault that happened in 100 block of McLellan Drive.
Authorities also noticed that all of the areas that the suspects hit were brothels – including the area where the murder took place.
Police are still looking for other two Asian suspects that are believed to be connected to the case. One of the suspect is described by the San Jose Police as a Chinese man, 25-30 years-old, 5′ 10″ to 5′ 11″, 160-170 lbs., shaved head, last seen wearing a school varsity type jacket – blue in color with tan sleeves.

While the other suspect is described as a Chinese man, 35-38 years-old, 6′ 2″, 250 lbs., black straight medium length hair, last seen wearing black aviator sunglasses, black t-shirt, black shorts and black tennis shoes.
