An Asian couple’s sweet moment at a nail salon in California became a source of envy for many netizens after a Twitter user took a photo and posted it online.
Orange County resident Lea Adame said a “cute” conversation got her attention while getting her nails done at a local salon.
As it turns out, a manicurist in the salon was meeting her son’s new girlfriend for the first time. And as his mom did his girlfriend’s nails, the boyfriend “periodically” fed his girlfriend chicken nuggets, according to Adame.
“It was so cute…he was a keeper,” Adame told BuzzFeed. “What guy will go to a nail salon with a girl, let alone will feed her food while there?”
She decided to take a photo of the man’s romantic gesture on her phone and post it on her Twitter page.
“A guy at the salon is straight up feeding his girl chicken nuggets while she gets her nails done,” she tweeted. “That’s the kind of love and support I need.”

The tweet, which soon became viral, elicited responses from netizens who seemed to be jealous of the boyfriend’s treatment of his girlfriend.
The lovebirds, who were later identified as 23-year-old Aubrey Yip and 25-year-old Sam Huynh, revealed that they have been together for two months now.
Yip explained that Huynh was feeding her nuggets because she was getting her carb fix as she prepares for a powerlifting competition. They visited Huynh’s mom Molly at the salon as a surprise that day.
“It was super exciting because Aubrey needed her nails done for her competition and it was the perfect chance to meet my mom and surprise her with news and some flowers,” Huynh was quoted as saying.
“We never thought our little gesture for his mom would get seen or publicized. We feel very lucky that Adame captured such a cute and candid moment for us,” Yip said.
