Asian Americans have now become the largest racial group in two Bay Area counties.

The ethnic demographic now makes up the biggest population share in both Alameda County and Santa Clara County in California, Mercury News reports.

Currently, Asian Americans make up 31.1% of the county with a population of 518,400, which is about 400 more than White Americans, new data from the U.S. Census Bureau reveals.
