Apple TV+ released the trailer for “The Afterparty” Season 2 on Thursday.
What it’s about: In the second season of the hit murder mystery comedy TV series, which premieres on July 12, a groom is murdered at his own wedding.
With the help of escape room designer Aniq (Sam Richardson) and former artist Zoe (Zoë Chao), Detective Danner (Tiffany Haddish) questions the wedding guests in an attempt to figure out who killed the groom.
“Each episode of ‘The Afterparty’ explores a different character’s account of one fateful evening, all told through the lens of popular film genres and unique visuals to match the storyteller’s perspective,” the series’ synopsis states.
Key people: “The Afterparty” was created by Chris Miller. Season 2 is co-run by Miller and Anthony King. Miller, King and Phil Lord serve as executive producers, while Aubrey Lee serves as a producer.
In addition to Richardson, Chao and Haddish, the show’s 10-episode second season will also feature John Cho, Ken Jeong, Poppy Liu, Vivian Wu, Elizabeth Perkins, Zach Woods, Paul Walter Hauser, Anna Konkle and Jack Whitehall.
