Admerasia, Act to Change (ATC), and NextShark are launching a new initiative to fight bullying in our communities.
The COVID-19 pandemic has impacted Asian American communities with an overwhelming surge of harassment, discrimination and violence all throughout 2020. Asian American and Pacific Islander youth are no exception — a recent survey from the Stop AAPI Youth Hate Campaign found that nearly 25% of young AAPIs have faced some sort of discrimination because of the pandemic.
With the Act To Change Anti-Bullying Survey, we aim to collect data for research and future initiatives to aid our communities. Please help us by taking a few minutes to complete this survey — it could make all the difference for young AAPIs everywhere.
Act to Change is a national non-profit organization dedicated to ending bullying among AAPI youth so they can thrive in communities that support their identities. ATC was first launched in 2015 as an anti-bullying campaign under President Obama’s White House Initiative on AAPIs. In 2018 it relaunched as a non-profit organization and has since led an annual AAPI Day Against Bullying+Hate and launched a #CovidConvos dialogue series.
Admerasia, founded in 1993, is an American advertising agency that has played a critical role in developing technologies to aid Asian American communities and businesses amid the COVID-19 pandemic.
NextShark, founded in 2013, is a leading source of Asian American news and culture reaching 15 million people per week on social media. They have been on the forefront of reporting how the COVID-19 pandemic has impacted Asian communities and businesses around the globe, sharing community initiatives for recovery, and promoting minority community solidarity against racial injustice.
