The New York City Police Department (NYPD) released surveillance images of a woman who allegedly targeted anti-Asian remarks at a man before physically attacking him on a subway in Brooklyn.
A 65-year-old man was on a southbound A train on the F line by York Street around 5:20 p.m. on Sunday when the woman began to verbally insult him, according to the police.
The woman then bit the victim on his back and scratched both of his arms.
The victim was transported to the Interfaith Medical Center. He is in stable condition.
The NYPD’s Hate Crimes Task Force is currently investigating the incident. The suspect has not been arrested.
The NYPD is asking anyone with information to call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-577-TIPS.
