Democratic presidential candidate Andrew Yang was greeted with thunderous applause when he made a surprise appearance at a concert for rapper Rich Brian in New York.
The show, held at New York’s Terminal 5 on October 7, was the first stop for the Indonesia-born rapper’s “The Sailor Tour.”
Video clips of Yang’s appearance popped up on social media shortly after, including one in which he talks to his supporters before making his entrance.

At one point, the crowd can be heard chanting “Andrew Yang” over and over. Yang can be seen egging the crowd on and even throwing an F-word to the delight of the audience.
“It feels like there’s some f***ing Yang Gang in here tonight,” Yang screams on the mic.
Rich Brian is not the first rapper to publicly endorse Yang. Asian American rapper MC Jin recently released a “Yang Gang” diss track aimed at the DNC.
Jin also released a remix of “Wu-Tang Clan Ain’t Nuthing ta F*ck Wit” titled “Drew Yang Gang, That’s Who I Hooked Up Wit.”
Meanwhile, the Yang Gang has more reasons to get excited as Yang qualified for the fifth presidential primary debate after a poll released on Tuesday showed him with 3% support nationally.
Yang is the eighth candidate to make it to the debate stage on Nov. 20, which will be hosted by MSNBC and The Washington Post.
