Netflix has more exciting things lined up for Ali Wong fans.
After the massive success of Wong’s 2016 stand-up special “Baby Cobra” and last year’s “Hard Knock Wife,” the comedian is set to do two new stand-up specials for the streaming service.
Wong recently closed a deal with Netflix to do a special in 2020 and another one at a later date which has yet to be announced, according to The Hollywood Reporter. The report, citing sources privy to the deal, stated that both specials are worth in the eight figures.
Wong performed her first two stand-up specials while pregnant, but it’s unclear whether she is planning to carry on with the tradition for her upcoming shows.

“Ali is electric,” Netflix director of original stand-up comedy programming Robbie Praw was quoted as saying. “She offers a completely distinct voice in the culture, and audiences all over the world have responded to her raw, unfiltered humor. We’re so proud to make Netflix the home of her comedy specials for years to come.”
Before Wong signed the deal, sources reportedly noted that HBO was also pursuing a special from Wong along with a scripted series at WarnerMedia’s upcoming streaming service HBO Max, offering Wong $10 million for the stand-up special alone.
