Ali Wong Reveals Her ‘Sacred Chinese Tradition’ When She’s on Ellen
By Ryan General
Ali Wong recently shared her “sacred Chinese tradition” that she practices whenever she is featured as a guest on “The Ellen DeGeneres Show.”
In an Instagram post, the comedian showed off her “Asian mom” side with a video of herself in the green room of the popular talk show. The short clip shows Wong grabbing snacks provided by the show in the room and throwing them in her bag.
“We do a tradition whenever I come on ‘Ellen,’” Wong says in the video. “Just taking things for our kids.”
In the comment section, fellow celebrities joined in on the fun, with “Crazy Rich Asians” star Gemma Chan encouraging Wong to just “take them all” and actress Reese Witherspoon advising her to “grab the cauliflower pretzels.”
According to Wong’s Instagram caption, the episode she’s in will broadcast next week, which is just in time to promote her upcoming romcom “Always Be My Maybe.” The Netflix original film, which also stars “Fresh Off The Boat” actor Randall Park, will be available to stream on May 31.
