An Air China plane headed to China’s Hainan Province had no choice but to return to Beijing when two of its passengers got into a bloody altercation on Friday morning.
We can only imagine how pissed the rest of the travelers were as they reached their destination three hours late.
According to Shanghaiist, one witness claimed the brawl started when one of the parties asked the other, “Have you ever been on a plane before?” and threw a pillow at the person’s face for seemingly no reason.
Offended, the other party responded by punching the other in the eye, drawing blood from their eyebrow. The two continued to fight when the captain decided to end it once and for all.
Eventually, the plane’s pilot decided to return to Beijing, citing “passenger reasons”, an hour after the takeoff.
As per Eastday, the plane, flight number CA1361, initially left the Beijing Capital International Airport at 6:20 a.m. It took off at 10:25 a.m. after leaving the troubled passengers with authorities.
The plane reached Haikou, Hainan’s capital, at 1:38 p.m.
