Earlier this morning, 14-year-old student Ahmed Mohamed of Irving, Texas, was arrested for bringing a homemade clock to school. After a teacher believed the clock to be a bomb, the school called the police, who arrested Ahmed on the charge of bringing a fake bomb to school. The greater issue around his arrest revolves around the fact that Ahmed is Muslim.
Apart from all the negativity surrounding this controversy, a few select world leaders, scientists, and entrepreneurs have sprung towards Ahmed offering their support, as well extended some cool invitations.
