Have you ever wondered what the kind of music you listen to says about your intelligence? One man has found out what kind of music intelligent people listen to as well as what the not-so-smart people like.

Software developer Virgil Griffith conducted a study in 2009 at various universities, matching SAT scores to the musical artists students liked on Facebook. Students at the California Institute of Technology, now the seventh ranked university in the world, had an average SAT score 1520. By matching their scores to music they thumbs-upped on Facebook, Griffith concluded that smart people like Beethoven, Sufjan Stevens and Radiohead. On the other end of the spectrum, dumb people listened to Lil Wayne, Beyoncé and T.I.

The tastes are a little dated, and you can’t exactly call this study scientific, but do you see any truth in this graph? Does anyone even listen to some of these bands anymore? Is Beyoncé really the favorite amongst dumb people?
