A 17-Year-Old Dies Trying to Take an Epic Instagram Photo

    The death toll for selfies in 2015 is higher than that of shark attacks.

    The latest selfie-related death is that of 17-year-old Andrey Retrovsky of Vologda, Russia.

    According to Complex, the teenager fell nine stories off the roof of a building while attempting to pose for a photo that he would have later posted to Instagram.

    The rope he used to fasten himself to failed and he suffered life-threatening injuries after landing in the bushes below.

    The Instagram account that is believed to belong to Retrovsky include a number of photos that involve dangerous, high-risk behavior.
