The Guinness World Record for having the most robots dancing simultaneously has been officially broken in China with 1,069 dancing robots.
The feat was achieved by WL Intelligent Technology Co, LTD, in Guangzhou, located in the province of Guangdong in southern China. The robots, which are called by its model name Dobi, were originally programmed not only to dance, but also perform other entertaining tasks like sing, box, play football and do Kung Fu moves, according to Guinness.
WL Intelligent Technology originally planned to break the Guinness World Record using 1,100 dancing robots, which were all managed by a central control system. But unfortunately, only 1,069 of them made the final cut as some refused to function, while others fell over backwards on the ground and continued the routine, IB Times UK reported.
The previous record for most robots dancing simultaneously was with 1,007, and held by another Chinese robotics company, Ever Win Company & Ltd, in August 2016.
