Regular Japanese commuters riding the Seibu Ikebukuro Line have something to look forward to everyday.
It’s not because of anything special about the train itself, as the line that runs between Ikebukuro and Seibu Chichibu Stations is reportedly one of the least chic.
The reason the line has become famously special is because of a rising local celebrity commuter that has caught the delight of fellow repeat passengers: a cool train-traveling kitty.

Unlike some rude commuters on public transport, the thoughtful cat has so far practiced excellent train etiquette, even keeping himself sitting in a compact manner and making room for other passengers.
Of course, when the train isn’t packed, he does take advantage of the space and usually spreads out a bit and occasionally takes a nap.

Seibu Ikebukuro Line even gives the regular feline passenger a special treatment by letting him ride freely as pets usually travel inside special carriers.
