PewDiePie, YouTube’s most subscribed and highest-earning creator, is winning huge internet points after posting a video to show off his new set of wheels.
The 26-year-old vlogger, Felix Kjellberg in real life, felt it was his turn at the fast growing trend of wealthy YouTubers sharing their rides with their followers.
“I saw a lot of ‘My New Car’ Vlogs, and I think they’re really entertaining. I think it’s really inspiring how young YouTubers can afford to buy a Lambo, buy a Ferrari, and I feel like now it’s my turn,” he said in the clip.
For a certified multi-millionaire like Kjellberg, whose channel earned him a reported $12 million in 2015 alone, one would expect him to showcase nothing less than an expensive sportscar like a Lamborghini or a Ferrari.
Viewers were in for a surprise, however, after finding out that his “new “car is actually an old Nissan model that is far from what “rich kids” usually flaunt these days. In the similar “My New Car” tradition, Kjellberg showed off the “features” of his car, did some poses and went for a drive accompanied by an upbeat track.
The less-than-five-minute clip has racked up more than 6 million views in less than 48 hours of its posting.
