Crunchyroll’s seventh annual Anime Awards nominations have been revealed.
An event held to recognize “anime’s finest series and films,” the Crunchyroll Anime Awards give fans an opportunity to vote for their favorite anime. On Thursday, Crunchyroll officially released the full list of nominees for 31 award categories. 
Amongst many new releases and viral animations, “Spy x Family” found itself in the lead with 19 total nominations. “Ranking of the Kings” followed close behind with 16 nominations as “Cyberpunk: Edgerunners” trailed with 13. 
The nominees for the 2023 Anime Awards are presented below: 
Anime of the Year

Overall, the nominees represent over 30 animation studios, 20 series and films, 50 actors and 8 total streaming platforms
Voting began on Jan. 19 at 9 a.m. PST and will continue until Jan. 25 at 5 p.m. PST. 
Viewers over the age of 16 can participate in the voting process online via Crunchyroll or Twitter.
The winners will be announced and awarded on March 4, 2023, during an in-person awards show held at the Grand Prince Hotel New Takanawa in Tokyo. Hosted by Sally Amaki and Jon Kabira, the show will be opened by Sony Group Corporation Chief Kenichiro Toshida. 
The show will also be made for worldwide online livestreaming.
