BTS’ Jin, Astro’s Cha Eun-woo most popular among male plastic surgery patients, reveals Korean doctor

A South Korean plastic surgeon and hospital director has revealed that BTS’ Jin and Astro’s Cha Eun-woo’s faces are the most requested among his male patients.
Fillers in plastic surgery: Dr. Hyong Choi, who works at Yeouido Sanghanga Hospital, shared that the popularity of fillers in plastic surgery is on the rise.
“There are a lot of reasons for its popularity,” he told Health Trends. “You don’t need anesthesia or recovery time and the patient can see their result immediately.”
The most desired filler procedures include removing dark circles and creating “aegyosal” – a layer of fat underneath the eyes that appears when a person smiles.
“The procedures can make your eyes more pronounced and give you a more cute and youthful look,” Choi explained.
He added that the two “most desired celebrity faces [for my male patients] are either Jin from BTS or Cha Eun-woo from Astro. It’s common to see male patients bring the celebrities’ photos to the hospital in hopes of looking like them.”
Highly sought after: Over the years, Jin and Cha have grown in popularity due in part to their facial features.
Since his BTS debut, Jin has been known as the group’s “Face Genius” and even gave himself the nickname “Worldwide Handsome.”
Meanwhile, Cha —who has also been called a “Face Genius” in entertainment programs and on social media — has similarly gained much attention for his physical appearance, which is regularly compared to that of a male manga character. After the Astro member was named the 2021 Male Face Wannabe Star by TMI News, one plastic surgeon shared: “Even I am shocked [when I see Cha Eun-woo]. There is nothing lacking.”
