Young Doctor Caught on Camera Violently Attacking an Uber Driver is Fired From Her Job

Earlier this year, a young doctor based in Miami, Florida was caught on camera verbally abusing an Uber driver in a drunken rage.
The women in the video was identified as Anjali Ramkissoon, 30, who was employed at Jackson Health System, where she worked as a resident doctor. She was placed on administrative leave and “removed from all clinical duties” shortly after the incident.
On Friday, Jackson Health System released a statement announcing that they had terminated Ramkissoon. The official statement reads:
“Jackson Health System is moving forward with the termination of Dr. Anjali Ramkissoon, a resident doctor. She is entitled to an appeal process.”
After the video went viral, Ramkissoon made an appearance on Good Morning America to apologize and give her side of the story.
She blamed her behavior on that she was dealing with a breakup and her fathering being taken to the hospital that day. She also thankedI Igor Belic, the Uber driver she attacked for not pressing charges.
