Five people have been arrested in connection with a series of burglaries that targeted Asian American homes in several North Texas cities in recent weeks.
Where they did it: The suspects, identified as Helmer Patino-Calderon (43), Luis Tafur-Tovar (33), Juan Pinto-Rodriguez (32), Jeisson Tafur-Tovar (29) and Adrianna Abello-Ruiz (24), have been tied to five such burglaries in Plano since late October. They also targeted homes in nearby Frisco and other areas of the Dallas-Fort Worth Metroplex, according to Plano police.
How they did it: The perps typically knocked on the doors of their victims in the middle of the day, posing as service or delivery people. If nobody answered, they pulled the home’s electric meter off and proceeded to ransack the property.
