Hello, everyone!

San Francisco Chinatown business owners are fed up with recurring break-ins and vandalism, and locals are taking matters into their own hands.

According to local police, there have been 10 burglaries in the past 45 days, totaling thousands of dollars in damages for victims and not counting the attempted burglaries. As a result, business owners gathered together with the SFPD, fire department, city agencies and other community groups for a vandalism-prevention workshop last Friday hosted by the Chinese Consolidated Benevolent Association and BeChinatown.

Additionally, SF SAFE promised to buy 50 heavy-duty locks for merchants.
