Hello, everyone!

The San Francisco-Marin Food Bank, the main distributor of free groceries for impoverished residents within the city, released new data highlighting that 62% of their participants were Asian, many of whom are seniors.

Les Tso, a food pantry worker, said Asian seniors are often ignored in the issue because of the model minority myth. U.S. Census data supports this, finding that 10,000 Asians over 65 are below the poverty line.

Have you ever eaten the fancy fungus of truffles before?

I have. I’ve had both black and white truffles before at fine dining restaurants. Fun fact, truffle oil doesn’t contain any truffles at all, just some strong chemical compounds.

Sincerely,
