Hello, everyone!

The California Civil Rights Department debuted a soft launch of its CA vs. Hate Resource Line on Monday, which will offer support and advice following a hate crime.

Announced by the Office of Attorney General Rob Bonta, the line is not a law enforcement line, but can connect to law enforcement for those wishing to make a report. Trauma informed services will be offered in over 200 languages at 833-8-NO-HATE and be available online as well in 15 languages.

Even if incidents are not classified as a hate crime, the line is meant as a resource. People can report anonymously or their identity will be kept anonymous even if they don’t report anonymously. The line’s exception to sharing information is for incidents of child or elder abuse or other risks of encroaching violence.
