A woman in Stark County, Ohio was arrested after dialing 911 “repeatedly” because her parents had canceled her cell phone service.
In her calls, Seloni Khetarpal, 36, demanded police to come to her home to deal with the situation.
Authorities warned Khetarpal to dial 911 only for legitimate reasons after her first call on Feb. 13. However, the Jackson Township resident called the emergency hotline for a second time hours later with the same complaint.
Khetarpal was charged Thursday with disrupting public services, a fourth-degree felony, according to News 5 Cleveland.
She was “belligerent” and thought her concern was a legitimate issue, court documents said.
Khetarpal originally lived in the U.K. before moving to Ohio, according to her website.
She claims to have modeled for brands like Abercrombie and Fitch and Miller Lite before becoming a makeup artist and a masseuse.
Khetarpal says she has specialized in bridal makeup and hairstyling “with a South Asian focus.”
“If you are looking for a highly skilled makeup artist who can combine the mystery and elegance or Eastern and Western beauty with an exquisite touch of class, look no further,” her website states.
Khetarpal appeared in court on Friday and her bond was set at $2,500, Fox 8 reported. She will return for a preliminary hearing on Feb. 27.
It’s unclear what turned out of her phone plan.
