Stumped with her final question, Sabrina Duong, a Jeopardy! Teen Tournament contestant, became an Internet sensation on Thursday after responding with a popular Vine meme.
Under the category “Natural Wonders”, contestant simply chose to have a little fun after Alex Trebek gave the clue: “Roughly half the size of Texas, it’s the largest structure made by living creatures and can even be seen from space.”
Not knowing  the correct answer, which is Great Barrier Reef, Duong wrote the next best thing: “What are…those?” referencing a popular meme.
The sophomore from La Jolla, California gave the epic response while in third place without a chance to win. Leading the game was Emily Lamonica, who had already doubled her score of $9,600.

While her fellow contestants had a kick with Duong’s response, Trebek was not amused, replying with, “That’s not going to work.”
Duong kept her grin in the end, knowing that she just won the Internet, even though she lost Jeopardy! ending up with just $45.

The meme became popular in 2015 after Instagram user Brandon Moore posted a video in which he confronts a police officer by loudly asking “What are those?” before turning the camera to his black shoes. The video, which gained over 2,300 likes and 1,200 comments within three weeks, spawned several parodies on various social media.
