After tickets sold out instantly, EDM artist Porter Robinson is now planning to live stream his Second Sky Festival on June 15 in partnership with Twitch.
Robinson, whose music is influenced by anime and Japanese culture, announced on Tuesday that the event sold out initially and decided to add a second day to the festival, according to Your EDM.
The live stream on Saturday, June 15, will begin at 4 p.m. Pacific Time through 10 p.m., and will feature performances from many artists including Madeon, G Jones, Cashmere Cat, Anamanaguchi, Kero Kero Bonito, and others more. Saturday’s concert – and Sunday – will be Robinson’s only “World Live” show for 2019.
In his 2016 single “Shelter,” Robinson collaborated with EDM artist Madeon, Japanese animation studio A-1 Pictures, and anime streaming platform Crunchyroll to create a short-film format music video for the song, which has now garnered over 44 million views on his YouTube channel.

Those who will watch the live stream on Saturday will also have the ability to donate to the Robinson Malawi Fund. Robinson announced that his own brother survived Burkitt lymphoma, a rare form of cancer.
“The survival rate for Burkitt lymphoma in the US is 90% or higher. But for kids in Malawi, where it’s much more common due to the connection between malaria and this form of cancer, the survival rate can be as low as about 29%,” Robinson explained.
“I’m starting a fund in cooperation with UNC to help improve the survival rate in that region so that those families won’t have to needlessly lose loved ones.”
