If youā€™re familiar with the anime/manga ā€œOne Punch Man,ā€ you might know that the main character, Saitama, attributes his supernatural strength to repeating a specific workout every day.
The man, Sean Seah, is a best-selling author and a successful investor. He set the challenge for himself as well as his social media followers on February 9 in a video in which he elected to ā€œeat happily and burn laterā€ during the Chinese New Year season.
The ā€œburn laterā€ part involved a specific training regimen based off of the anime series ā€œOne Punch Manā€ wherein the heroic titular character does 100 push-ups, 100 sit-ups, 100 squats and runs 10 km (6.2 miles) every single day.
Ā
Participants can choose one of 10 ā€œlevelsā€ of the regimen to abide by based on their current fitness, which would be scaled versions of the workout, with Level 1 involving 10 push-ups, 10 sit-ups, 10 squats, and a 1 km run every day.
On day one, Seah weighed 70 kg, or around 154 lbs, according toĀ AsiaOne. By the end of the 30 days, he weighed 141 lbs, with a chiseled six pack and a highly reduced level of body fat.
Seah also remained mindful of his food intake, but did not obey any specific diet, instead opting to avoid foods that hindered his ability to exercise well.
The ā€œOne Punch Man challengeā€ has been discussed and attempted in the past, with many on YouTube going viral for attempting the regimen and showing the results, the majority of which being fitness channels.
Ā
However, Seah started with what can be considered an average-looking physique and completely transformed his body in a 30 day period. His well-planned execution of the regimen as well as his discipline and dedication to see it out over a 30 day period was commended by many in the comment section. Others have attempted to take on the regimen themselves to see if they can get the same outstanding results.
