One Infographic Sums Up Why We Need More Women in Tech

Silicon Valley has pretty much got it all: Google, Facebook, jobs that pay obscene amounts of money, a “startup castle,” its own language, shout-outs from rappers and crazy sex parties. That’s pretty much everything ever, right?
Wrong.
Just like the rest of the world, it could use more women in tech. The aforementioned Google and Facebook, for instance, has only 17% and 15%, respectively, of its tech team composed of females.
The main problem? Girls just aren’t being drawn into STEM subjects in school, which may ultimately mean more sexism confronting women who do decide to work in tech.
