Ming-Na Wen Becomes a TRUE Disney Queen After Getting Cast in New ‘Star Wars’ Series

Disney CEO revealed that iconic actress Ming-Na Wen, notable for being the voice of Mulan in the classic Disney animated film, will be joining the new live-action Star Wars series “The Mandalorian.”
The reveal came on August 23 during the Disney Legends Ceremony at the D23 Expo 2019 in Anaheim, California, according to Deadline.
Wen, who also stars in “Marvel’s Agents of S.H.E.I.L.D.”, was also named a Disney Legend, Disney’s highest honor, for her incredible contributions to the Disney universe.
Her addition to the “Star Wars” universe now gives Wen a presence in all three of Disney’s universes, the other two being the classic Disney universe and the Marvel Universe.
“Please just keep acquiring all these different franchises, because I just keep getting employed by them. I have hit every bucket list thanks to Disney,” she said during her speech to Bob Iger.
“The Mandalorian,” which will hit the Disney+ streaming service on November 12, takes place in the “Star Wars” universe after the fall of the empire and before the rise of the First Order.
The story follows a lone gunfighter in the outer reaches of the galaxy and will also star Pedro Pascal, Gina Carano, Nick Nolte, Giancarlo Esposito, Carl Weathers, Emily Swallow, Omid Abtahi, Werner Herzog, Taika Waititi, Bill Burr and Mark Boone Jr.
