British Man in Thailand High on Meth Murders Sex Worker With Machete

Neil Henry Elliott, 48, met the sex worker in the Soi Buakhao area and took her to his rented home in Eakmongkol Village just before curfew on April 29.

 

After a party at his home, the pair reportedly got into a quarrel, which later became a physical struggle.

The prostitute, identified only as Onn, approximately 35-40 years old, was found in the bathroom of the property with injuries in the neck and right wrist, according to local news outlet CH7HD.

Elliott’s admission reportedly came when he received treatment at a hospital after crashing a motorbike on Thursday morning, following Onn’s murder.

Hospital staff alerted the local police, who then took him back to his residence in Eakmongkol.

Aside from Onn’s lifeless body, police discovered a 60-centimeter (23.6-inch) long machete on top of a covered snooker table, as well as a broken snooker cue on the floor.

Elliott was arrested on the scene and transported back to the police station in Bang Lamung — the district where Pattaya is located — for questioning.

The Northern Ireland man confessed to killing Onn from the outset. Investigations revealed that they had both taken a methamphetamine-based drug called “yaba.”

“The suspect met her on Soi Buakhao and took her home. He said they both used drugs which led to chaos and he attacked her until she was dead,” Police Colonel Chiddecha Songhong said, according to the Thai Examiner.

Due to COVID-19, Pattaya is currently under curfew from 10 p.m. to 4 a.m.

It is understood that the case remains under investigation.
