Jeremy Lin Allegedly Targeted for Hard Fouls in His Second CBA Game

Jeremy Lin helped lead the Beijing Ducks to victory for the second time this week, building on an impressive start in the 2019 season of the Chinese Basketball Association (CBA).
Beijing scored 105-102 to beat the Shandong Heroes at the Cadillac Arena on Wednesday, with Justin Hamilton leading the former with 35 points.
Lin netted 24 points, which included his first three-pointer in his CBA career, as well as eight rebounds and six assists, Xinhua News noted.
Ahead of his first game on Sunday, the former NBA star vowed to donate 3,000 yuan ($428) to charity for every three-pointer he makes this season.
Beijing ended the first quarter with a 29-25 lead, but scores tied at 54 before the second half.
Lin and Zhou Yixiang then led Beijing to 33-24 in the third quarter and surged a 7-0 run in the next, just after Shandong pulled off a 10-3 sprint.
Unfortunately, Lin’s Wednesday win came with a bloodied left forearm that required immediate treatment.
The 31-year-old sustained his injury in the second half, which forced him to leave the court before returning with bandaging, according to the South China Morning Post.
Lin also suffered a knee injury in the first half against the Tianjin Pioneers on Sunday.
Wednesday’s game, however, was much sterner for the Taiwanese American player, who also saw several fouls called against him.
“He played in NBA before, and he faced many physical challenges, but he is playing very well here, so I am a big fan of his,” a fan praised Lin, according to CGTN.
Beijing will play against the 2-0 Shanghai Sharks on Friday.
