Crafting a winning resumé is one of the hardest things to do when you’re applying to desirable jobs.

The balance between advertising your credentials and the attention span and subjectivity of the hiring manager is a fine line to walk. Almost 8 out of 10 HR managers say that what they look for most in a candidate is relevant experience, so make sure yours is prominent on your resumé. Also, formatting and font is important — 1 in 4 HR managers receive 50 resumés per job listing, so don’t make yours be the one they skip just because your formatting or font stands out in a bad way.
