Gary Vaynerchuk Shows How Not to Enjoy Wine Like a Snob with ‘Delectable’ App
Gary Vaynerchuk is an entrepreneur that knows how to enjoy wine without being the kind of smug douche who likes to talk with his eyes closed.
The VaynerMedia founder stopped by “Late Night with Seth Meyers” to show off the helpful new wine companion app Delectable, which helps anyone who isn’t a wine snob learn about the wine they are drinking simply by scanning the label with their smart phone. The ever-eccentric Vaynerchuk also gives Meyers and guest Eddie Redmayne some pointers about enjoying both cheap and expensive wine.
Delectable raised a $3 million Series A earlier this year from several angel investors that included Vaynerchuk and PayPal’s Max Levchin.
If you are really trying to get into wine, there are now a few apps apart from Delectable that might make a wine connoisseur out of you, including Vivino and Next Glass.
Support our Journalism with a Contribution
Many people might not know this, but despite our large and loyal following which we are immensely grateful for, NextShark is still a small bootstrapped startup that runs on no outside funding or loans.
Everything you see today is built on the backs of warriors who have sacrificed opportunities to help give Asians all over the world a bigger voice.
However, we still face many trials and tribulations in our industry, from figuring out the most sustainable business model for independent media companies to facing the current COVID-19 pandemic decimating advertising revenues across the board.
We hope you consider making a contribution so we can continue to provide you with quality content that informs, educates and inspires the Asian community.
Even a $1 contribution goes a long way. Thank you for everyone’s support. We love you all and can’t appreciate you guys enough.
