Democratic candidate Nathan Johnson, who worked as a composer for “Dragon Ball Z,” secured a seat in the Texas State Senate after winning over his opponent, incumbent Republican Don Huffines.

The 50-year-old politician won 54% of the votes during Election Day on Tuesday.
I’m feeling really excited about going to Austin with a much better legislative environment,” he said while speaking to The Texas Tribune on Tuesday. “Everything we tried to do and hope would happen, happened. We had a surge of turnout in disillusioned Democrats and success with winning moderate Republicans. I think that’s what put us over.”

Johnson is known for his work as a lawyer for the Human Rights Initiative of North Texas, however, anime fans – particularly those who passionately follow the English dub of the ever-famous “Dragon Ball Z” – will know him for his compositions like “The World’s Strongest,” “The Tree of Might,” “Broly – Second Coming,” “Fusion Reborn,” and “Wrath of the Dragon, according to Crunchyroll.
The politician, who also owns a music production business, was a magna cum laude graduate with a degree in Physics from the University of Arizona, and soon later earned his law degree from the University of Texas at Austin, according to his campaign website.
