Comedian Dave Chappelle has just joined the Yang Gang.
The Yang campaign revealed that the comic legend announced his endorsement of presidential candidate Andrew Yang on Tuesday afternoon.
Chappelle, who became the latest celebrity to express his support for the presidential candidate, reportedly proclaimed “I’m Yang Gang!”
The announcement comes just hours before the seventh Democratic presidential debate in Des Moines, the first debate that Yang did not qualify for.

In a statement, Yang expressed his appreciation for Chappelle’s endorsement, noting that they share similar views.
“Dave is one of the most important voices in our country today and I’m thrilled he has thrown his support behind this campaign,” Yang said. “He and I share similar concerns about the future and hopes for what it could be. We are also parents who see the world that we are leaving to our kids and believe they deserve better.”
Yang later shared an image of himself and Chappelle on Twitter, thanking him for his support.
“Thank you @DaveChappelle and welcome to the #yanggang. You are the best. Let’s do this for our kids,” Yang tweeted.
Later this month, Chappelle will also be performing shows in Columbia on January 28 and North Charleston on January 29 to support Yang’s 2020 presidential campaign.
With his endorsement of Yang, Chappelle now joins James Gunn, Ken Jeong, Donald Glover, Elon Musk, Nicolas Cage, Weezer’s Rivers Cuomo, Noah Centineo, and Chris Jericho in the Yang Gang’s growing list of celebrity supporters.
