Chrissy Teigen and Ronny Chieng are part of the ensemble voice cast for Netflix’s upcoming animated series “Mulligan.”
Created by Robert Carlock and “Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt” writer and executive producer Sam Means, the show takes place in a post-apocalyptic Earth following an alien invasion. A group of survivors must learn how to restart their society and learn from their past mistakes.
Nat Faxon will voice lead character Matty Mulligan, a blue-collar Bostonian who saves Earth from the alien invasion and becomes the leader of what remains of humanity. Teigen will play Lucy Suwan, a woman who had a fling with Matty during the invasion. She becomes the de facto first lady among the survivors and wants to fix the world, only to realize her idealized America from beer commercials doesn’t align with Matty’s.
Chieng will voice Johnny Zhao, a billionaire from Hong Kong who endeavors to make money relevant again in a society that no longer sees its significance. Tina Fey will play super scientist Dr. Braun and Sam Richardson will be Simon Prioleau, a historian and an advisor to Matty.
Other cast members include Dana Carvey as Senator Cartwright LaMarr, a cunning politician, Phil LaMarr as Axatrax, a surviving alien general, Kevin Michael Richardson as cyborg TOD-209, Ayo Edebiri as Jayson Moody, who impersonates a general, and Daniel Radcliffe as King Jeremy, a party boy and the son of an English lord.
Netflix has ordered “Mulligan” for a 20-episode run.
