A-Yeon, a YouTube star and former member of the all-female Korean band Bebop, has been named the hottest drummer in Korea.
The title of “hottest drummer” was made by a post on the social media platform site 9gag.
A-Yeon has over 165,000 followers on Instagram and over 609,000 subscribers on YouTube.
She rose to fame as the most popular member of the all-female Korean band Bebop when they debuted in early 2014 and broke up in 2016.

Besides being the drummer of a band, A-Yeon is also known by many online as a street performer.

In a 2018 interview with Close-Up Culture, A-Yeon explained that she did not imagine the fame she would get from being a street performer.
“I never imagined I would be famous,” she said. “I just wanted to work hard and maybe get the chance to perform in front of people. But then people started to get interested in my work and many people began to recognize me.”
A-Yeon is known for her cover of several songs from iconic metal bands, including “Sad But True” by Metallica and “Welcome to the Jungle” by Guns N’ Roses.

A-Yeon had a natural attraction to heavy metal she told Close-Up Culture. She also does drum covers of other pop singles in metal rendition, including “Fake Love” by BTS, “Beat It” by Michael Jackson, and the “Frozen 2” OST “Into the Unknown.”

“Playing a male-dominated instrument is definitely difficult, but I was able to embrace the difference and overcome any difficulties,” she said. “I am so proud of my achievements so far and grateful to all who have influenced me.”
