You’ll Be Shocked at How China Deals With Their Teen Internet Addicts

In this day and age, the internet consumes our everyday lives. Many of us can’t go for very long without being connected to the world wide web. With all the addictions that exist today like drugs and sex, labeling someone who has an addiction to the Internet can sound a bit over-the-top.

The New York Times recently released a short documentary on the treatment centers young men are sent to in China for “internet addiction.” As you can see, the treatment centers resemble boot camps in the military. They take this “addiction” so seriously that one of the drill coaches goes as far as to say that the internet is like “digital heroin” to these teenagers.
