It’s called the Om/One and it’s the world’s first levitating bluetooth speaker system.
This new technology that’s about to disrupt the speaker industry was created by Oakland, California based Om Audio.
Using magnetic levitation, the Om/One uses less watts than it’s competitors while still meeting the same decibel output. The secret is the levitation, which allows it to be free standing; other speaker systems must sync to the surface object they rest upon meaning there is some loss of low-end sound.
The Om/One is also portable, you can just grab the speaker on the go, and it includes a microphone so that you can even take calls on it.
The best part of it all? The speaker doesn’t cost an arm and a leg like most new tech. The Om/One will be available in December starting at $179 and can be pre-ordered from the company’s website.
It also comes in white, like a floating musical snowball.
And for $299, you can get the disco edition.
I know what I want for Christmas now.
