YEC Launches Company To Find Affordable Healthcare For Startups

With the constant rise of healthcare costs in recent years, it’s tough these days to find affordable health insurance — especially as a struggling entrepreneur. To combat this issue, the Young Entrepreneur Council (YEC) has launched StartupInsurance, a destination for business owners to find quality and affordable insurance plans across the nation.

Aside from business owners, StartupInsurance will offer options that extend to their families and employees as well. All options offered will be fully compliant with the Affordable Care Act set to take effect this coming January, so those who purchase plans will not be hit with tax penalties.

Scott Gerber, founder of the YEC, said in a press release:

“As our nation becomes more entrepreneurial, and more Americans launch startups, start small businesses, and join the booming gig economy, YEC wants to be there to support business owners and newly job-unlocked individuals by providing them with access to quality, affordable health care insurance options throughout the United States.”

The Young Entrepreneur Council (YEC) is an invite-only organization comprised of some of the most successful entrepreneurs to date — with members including Daniel Ha, CEO of DISQUS, Joe Fernandez, Founder of Klout, Ryan Holmes, CEO of HootSuit, and Jason Ross, Founder of Jackthreads.
