Czech Girl Spends Life Savings Traveling 5,000 Miles to Meet 42-Year-Old Tinder Match

When Czech journalist and blogger Veronika Doleželová, 24, matched with American Bryan Davis, 42, on Tinder in Prague in March, she just knew she had found the one. That’s why she defied all odds and set out to find him.
It didn’t matter that he had already left back to his home in Colorado and that her parents were against her traveling 5,000 miles to meet an older unknown man. She knew she just had to be with her Tinder crush.
According to The Daily Mail, when the two were first matched on the dating app, Davis had only a few hours until he had to catch his 12-hour flight back to Denver, Colorado.
After three months of staying in touch with Davis, Doleželová used all her savings to travel to the US so they could finally meet in person. The decision, however, did not sit well with her father.
“My dad was furious. He thought the worst — that Bryan wasn’t real, that he was a bad guy trying to take advantage of some poor naive girl,” Doleželová said.
Not being one of those naive girls as she claims, she knew the risks of traveling across the world and meeting a stranger.
“There are some horror stories about people who fly round the world to see people who they have met online,” she said. “He thought it would be like a scene from the Taken movie with Liam Neeson. My family thought I could be raped, or just disappear.”

Luckily for Doleželová, she was not kidnapped or sold to prostitution dens when she reached the U.S. For three weeks, she toured with her Tinder date and documented their adventure on her blog and Instagram account.
Doleželová was able to tour the Centennial State and visited the Garden of the Gods with Davis during her trip. Together, they visited the Rocky Mountains and spent time together at local bars and restaurants.
“I won’t ever forget my three weeks of amazing adventure #usatrip I recently did with my buddy and love#BryanDavis,” Doleželová wrote on Instagram. “This trip was really unique – not just because I was able to get myself into USA, but I had a chance to meet this precious guy.”
In her writings. she called their Tinder romance a “modern fairy tale,” saying that the trip changed her life. She also revealed that she’s already saving more money so she can go back and visit her “dating app crush” again.
