Sometimes we all have to work dirty jobs, but I’d bet none of you have worked a job like this before. Captured in a way that can leave you breathless, two filmmakers from Brooklyn, Natalia Leite and Alexandra Roxo, find out what it’s like to live a week working as truck-stop strippers in a middle-of-nowhere bar in Moriarty, New Mexico. This experiment is part of their series “Every Woman,” something like “Dirty Jobs” on the Discovery Channel but way more raw and artsy.
‘Every Woman” forces you to step inside some harsh realities of the things many women have to do to survive. While Natalia and Alexandra have the luxury of returning to normal life after a week, you can still see the emotional scarring from working in a place “where strippers go to die.” The episode is almost 30 minutes, but I could barely peel my eyes off it.
