Philippine telecommunications company Globe has joined forces with Walt Disney Southeast Asia to release a “Rogue One: A Star Wars Story” ad that urges viewers to #CreateCourage.
The two-minute commercial features a pair of siblings, who are obviously Star Wars fans, as one of them rocks a stormtrooper hoodie and the other dons a stormtrooper helmet to mask her disability.
When the older brother walks with his younger sibling to school, the little girl’s classmates and teachers stare at the child in utter bewilderment as she walks through the door.
The video also features some dance moves from the duo and shows some brief scenes from “Rogue One” as the two siblings watch a trailer for the movie.
Brother and sister arrive at the school the following day, with a surprising display of solidarity from classmates and teachers who have all put on stormtrooper helmets for their friend.
The school children go to hug the girl after she takes off her headgear. It is revealed that she is forced to bring an oxygen tank with her wherever she goes.
Bring on the waterworks. Grab a tissue and check out the ad, which is part of Globe’s #CreateCourage campaign to promote and protect the rights of Filipino young women and girls, below:
According to Mashable, the telecommunications company is also offering lucky fans a chance to win a trip to Florida for Star Wars events, movie tickets, and tons of merchandise, ahead of the Rogue One’s premiere on December 15.
