Local authorities in Thailand have recently apprehended a model for walking out of a fashion store wearing a dress that wasn’t paid for.
Nacharot Ployplye, the 30-year-old Thai model who has posed for Maxim magazine, was arrested on Thursday for stealing an expensive piece of clothing from Emporium shopping mall in Bangkok, according to Coconuts Bangkok. The woman, who was commonly referred to locally as “Tak Maxim,” also later tested positive for drug use.
The store owner reportedly notified the mall’s security personnel after the model walked out of her store wearing a 9,500 Thai Baht ($270) black dress. In Good store manager Woraya Saeneewong Na Ayutthaya narrated that Nacharot entered her shop to try on a black dress and then later asked for a bigger size.
Just as the shop manager was looking for a replacement dress for the model, the model simply exited the store and ran off in a hurry. The mall security then called the police to nab the thief. Authorities have expressed that the model has refused to cooperate during questioning. The woman is now facing multiple charges of theft.
The Maxim girl, who was a contestant of Miss Maxim 2010, tested positive for drugs in a urine drug test. It was not revealed what substance was detected in her system. Nacharot will be facing additional charges of drugs use.
