An Italian model visiting the Philippines drew mixed reactions on social media after posting a workout video where he used a Filipino man as a weight.
Pietro Boselli uploaded the video on his Facebook page this weekend which immediately went viral. So far, it has been viewed more than 593,000 times and shared over 5,000 times.
Boselli started the nearly three-minute video describing his location, which he called a “tiny, tiny” and “semi-deserted” island in the Philippines. He then started worrying about having no means to work out.
“I’m left here alone with no means of working out. So I need to figure out how to work out so I need to find something that I can actually lift repeatedly.”
For some reason, the 28-year-old model, who also holds a PhD degree, thought it was a great idea to use a Filipino man as his “means” to work out.
“Let me look around… Ahh!!! That! Filipino man looks ideal!”
He also made it appear that the man was uncivilized:
“But I need to be very careful, approach slowly, because he can get scared and start running.”
Boselli chased and lifted the man as he intended in the rest of the video.
